blueVisions and the Institute of Management regularly update and publicly report our corporate social responsibility performance. These reports set out our policies and principles and summarise how we are managing our commitment in corporate citizenship, how we are working with suppliers and local communities, and how our employees contribute to and share in the rewards of our commercial success.
blueVisions have been an active contributor to the Cancer Council for the past few years. The Cancer Council is the only charity that works across every area of cancer, from research to prevention and support.
Their efforts range from funding world-class researchers to unblock more answers to cancer, providing nurses and other health professionals to offer invaluable one-on-one phone support to anyone affected by cancer, to providing dedicated drivers to transport people affected by cancer to vital treatment and even free wig service to provide more self-confidence to people during cancer treatment.
They really are making an impact and each year the researchers make more progress and discoveries, create better treatment options, help to ensure a better way of life and increase life expectancies.
Cancer never rests, and for that reason, neither does the Cancer Council. And with blueVisions help, the Cancer Council will be able to continue helping all Australians affected by cancer.
Over 12,000 Australians will be diagnosed with blood cancers and related blood disorders this year, that's 35 people each day! They can develop at any age, in anyone, at any time.
blueVisions and the Institute of Management held a fund-raising event for the World's Greatest Shave to help beat blood cancer.
Courageous colleagues from bV and IM coloured, cut and shaved for the cause. Local hairdressers volunteered their time for the shave, and the ponytails sheared from our brave team-mates, 20cm and longer, are now destined to make wigs for cancer patients, while the shaved clippings may be transformed into compost or floating booms to absorb oil spills at sea.
The bV and IM teams, families and friends supported our colleagues, raising an amazing $7,758.70
If you'd like to support bV and IM in this initiative by donating to the Leukaemia Foundation visit our funding page at:

A huge thank you for your help this year with the Canberra Rotary Club’s 25th annual Special Children’s Festival - Circus Quirkus for the local special needs and disadvantaged children.
Please find attached your Certificate of Appreciation as our small way of saying “Thank you” for helping to make this annual event possible for the children. Your support will also help us provide invaluable funding for Foodbank and also Our Place, our homeless youth programme. Your support truly makes a difference.
We hope that all of the happiness you have helped to spread comes back to you ten-fold.
Until next year....
The Rotary Club Of Canberra were the founding hosts of Circus Quirkus. Circus Quirkus has been putting smiles on the faces of thousands of special needs and disadvantaged children for the past 22 years, due to the kind generosity of local businesses and individuals.
The purpose of the event is two-fold:
Firstly, Circus Quirkus brings fun and respite into the lives of thousands of children who, through no fault of their own, miss out on so much that most of us take for granted. They come from over 60 local welfare, disability & care organizations. Circus Quirkus gives them a day they'll never forget, with some of the world's best performers astounding them with acrobatics, clowning, juggling, death-defying stunts and lots of comedy!
Secondly, the event raises much-needed funds for local projects. For example, this year will help Foodbank collect surplus, salvaged and donated food and distribute it to local people in need, as well as assist Our Place, a local program which provides safe accommodation, education, skills, training and work experience to local youth at risk of homelessness.

Prostate cancer kills almost 3,300 men a year in Australia, with almost 20,000 new cases being diagnosed yearly. The Prostate Cancer Foundation of Australia is dedicated to reducing the impact of prostate cancer on Australian men and the community. blueVisions has entered a team into the Sydney Running Festival to raise funds for them (having donated to Ovarian Cancer last year).
Our target was $2000, and we have currently raised $4070.

Having fun at blueVisions while helping others.
As recounted by Mariam Moubarak - Project Administrator, blueVisions
Some months ago, I attended an event hosted by the mother of a newborn suffering heart failure, and came to know about the BANDAGED BEAR APPEAL, which is the annual fund raising event conducted by The Children’s Hospital at Westmead.
What snagged my attention were the stories about the children who have been helped through this appeal, their struggles and the amazing fortitude with which they coped with them. This compelled me to do whatever I could to help. I rallied the team at blueVisions to hold our own fun breakfast in support of the Bandaged Bear Appeal 2012, and was very gratified that the team warmed to the idea instantaneously.
blueVisions upholds strong values of passion, commitment, integrity and empathy in all we do, and our true commitment to these values came to fore. Thus, we declared that we would hold the blueVisions’ Bandaged Bear Appeal in March.
The blueVIsions Bandaged Bear Appeal allowed us to raise $2196.65 for the Children’s Hospital at Westmead while having a fun team activity over breakfast. We all came together to enjoy a variety of delicious dishes that were brought in by all staff.
I am very proud of the generosity of my colleagues at blueVisions, and thank them again for their donations, while making the whole event so much fun.
Please have a look at the photos here.
